Национальная гвардия Кипра в 2001-2003 годах получила 12 Ми-35П (Ми-24ВК2) с новым крылом, совместимым с очками ночного видения, приборным оборудованием кабин и восьмью пусковыми установками ПТУР "Атака". В 2008 году вертолеты модернизировали до уровня Ми-35ПН.

Новые Ми-35М поставлялись на экспорт в Азербайджан (в сентябре 2010 года - контракт на 24 машины), Бразилию (в 2008 году - контракт на 12 машин, местное обозначение AH-2 Sabre) и Венесуэлу (модификация Ми-35М2 Caribe, на фото). Вертолет Ми-35М принят также на вооружение российской армии - в 2010 году было заказано 22 вертолета, имеется также опцион на поставку еще около 30 машин.

10 апреля 2013г. на проходившей в Рио-де-Жанейро выставке вооружений LAAD-2013 директор российской Федеральной службы по военно-техническому сотрудничеству Александр Фомин сообщил, что поставка вертолетов Ми-35М в Бразилию будет завершена осенью. "Из 12 вертолетов поставлены девять. Они введены в строй. Три находятся в завершающей стадии передачи заказчику. Осенью они будут отгружены заказчику", - сказал он. Сделка на поставку этих машин, стоимость которых оценивается более чем в 150 млн. USD, состоялась в ноябре 2008 г. Милевские вертолеты оснащены оборудованием для полетов ночью и получили в Бразилии местное обозначение AH-2 Saber.
