Several Junkers Ju 87 Stukas were known to have been captured during the North African campaign and some were allocated British serial numbers. However, this example was unserialled; the code LT on the fuselage does not appear to be part of a known Luftwaffe unit code and, with the underwing D-N, may have been applied after capture.
