    The Aircraft Restoration Company’s Beech D18S, G-BKGL, wearing 1941 US Army Air Corps colours. It was repainted after an overhaul last winter, utilising a high-gloss silver lacquer finish instead of the truly authentic natural metal in order to prevent corrosion in the British climate.

    The Chipmunk duo comprises aviation artist Michael Turners G-BCXN/WP800, recently refurbished by the ARC and painted in Bristol University Air Squadron colours, and the ARC's own all-yellow G-BNZC. The pilots are John Romain and Lee Proudfoot, and the aircraft were photographed by CHRIS BURKETT in August 1989.
