The latest exhibit returned to the Israeli Air Force Museum after restoration by Western Galilee-based Cyclone Aviation Products is Avia S-199 Mezek c/n 782358. It was handed over to the museum on August 23, 1989. Little is known of its history - but it served alongside Spitfires and Mustangs in 101 Sqn IAF during the Arab-Israeli war of 1948-49.

Eberhardt Fritsch's Fokker Dr I replica, is now complete. It is currently at la Ferte-Alais, 25 miles south of Paris, awaiting its first flight, which has been delayed by an engine camshaft problem.

Arnold Glass’s six BAC Lightnings on static display at Cranfield on September 24, 1989. The Lightning Association was busy recruiting supporters during the airshow, with the aim of presenting a petition to the CAA asking for discussions to allow a privately-owned Lightning to be flown.

Регистрационный номер : C4912, G-BLWM At Cardington, work on the RAF Museum's Bristol M.1C replica is nearing completion, and the fuselage has been repainted by John Wadham with the dramatic red dragon insignia of RFC training school aircraft C4994 circa 1917-18. Originally built by Don Cashmore and flown briefly as "C4912"/G-BLWM 2yr ago, the replica has had its Warner Scarab engine replaced by a 110 h.p. le Rhone rotary from museum stock, and should be on display at Hendon in time for Christmas.
