One of RRC Air's most recent acquisitions is this ex-EAF C-47A ET-AJG in bare metal with a white top and a new RRC emblem and Ethiopian flag on the fin at Addis Ababa on 23.1.88.

Boeing 737-260 ET-AJB became the first Ethiopian registered aircraft to land in Norway when it touched down at Oslo Fornebu airport at 1825 local time on 21.8.88, no doubt delighting our ET- specialist Ole Nordbo who took the picture!

Very few aircraft in Ethiopia do not display the national colours. This Cessna Stationair 6 ET-AII is one of them although it does have the insignia of ILCA/CIPEA on the fin. It was photographed at Addis Ababa 23.1.88.

This all-yellow AgCat ET-AIY was the first to be assembled by Ethiopian Airlines under an agreement which could lead to exports to other African states. When photographed at Addis Ababa on 23.1.88 three more aircraft were in various stages of construction and up to a dozen more large crates were in evidence. As with ET-AIY, most are likely to be unsold Schweizer-built production from a few years ago but EAL have had to complete the wings before assembly. The fin bears the name "Eshet - produced in Ethiopia".

The second EAL-assembled AgCat ET-AJE has been given a local c/n 001E. It is shown in the assembly hangar with another, unregistered, example behind on 23.1.88.
