The Government of Pakistan Department of Plant Protection’s yellow-painted de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver AP-ALR at Gwadar in Baluchistan on March 29, 1961. The Beaver was being used on a survey flight before Pakistan International Airlines opened DC-3 “air bus” services in the area. The landing ground was first used when Imperial Airways began London-India services in 1929. In the background is Cathedral Rock (Jabal-i-Mehdi).

The de Havilland D.H.60 Cirrus Moth G-EBLV at Hatfield on June 9, 1960. Built in 1925 as the eighth Moth constructed, ’LV was delivered to the Lancashire Aero Club in August that year. It is still airworthy, with the Shuttleworth Collection.
