Регистрационный номер: VB889 Sunderland принимали участие в Берлинском воздушном мосту (операция "Plainfare") в 1948 году. Регистрационный номер: W3996 On 2 February 1942, Sunderland W3996 was damaged by a bomb from a Ju 88. It was beyond repair locally so became a source for spares. Camouflage nets were used to disguise its presence, although the purpose is not clear. The hulk was, after all, in the middle of a well-known RAF station.

Регистрационный номер: L2177 Walrus L2177 from HMS Sussex sank on landing at Kalafrana on 16 August 1938 because the camera hatch had not been secured before landing, causing the hull to become swamped. It was hoisted ashore in a most undignified fashion. The pilot had taken off from Hal Far so the first intimation that his aircraft was not watertight was wet feet.

A Swordfish floatplane taxying off Kalafrana seaplane station, Malta. It appears to be camouflaged so could be a catapult aircraft visiting from a ship. The other possibility is that it is one of Kalafrana's ASR Swordfish.

The Blackburn Cubaroo was a massive torpedo bomber powered by a 1,000 hp Napier Cub engine. It was intended to carry a 21-inch torpedo which required a lot of aeroplane to carry it. However, the 18-inch torpedo became standard and the need for such a large aircraft died. Two, N166 and N167, were built, the latter being later fitted with a Beardmore Simoon I engine.
