It is to be hoped that the technological lead gained by Britain and France with the BAC/Aerospatiale Concorde will not be lost when a second-generation SST is needed. Concorde G-BOAD is seen inaugurating a joint British Airways/Singapore Airlines service from London-Heathrow to Singapore via Bahrein on 9th December 1977.
