KERMIT WEEKS, who now has the largest private collection of historic aircraft in the world, has a large storage base in the Mojave desert in Southern California. One of Weeks's rarest airframes, Douglas A-20G Havoc 43-22197/N34920, once owned by Howard Hughes, was recently spotted there, nestling up against a Martin Marauder nose. Weeks also keeps several Commonwealth-built F-86 Sabres at the yard, as well as the fuselage of his Boeing B-29 Superfortress, 44-70049.

No photographs of the Hedgehog as a seaplane or amphibian have yet been found. The drawings are from Hawker's original rigging diagram for the amphibian version. The MAEE report on the aircraft would have included several views of it, but a copy of this document has not been traced. Any offers?
