The initial aerial delivery was originally scheduled for June 16, but was delayed by issues concerning the crating of the FFT and its effect on the transport's centre of gravity. As part of the 'Shuttle Celebration' organised at Boeing Field for the arrival, a NASA Northrop T-38N Talon (N920NA, ex 66-8386) was flown in from Travis AFB and displayed alongside N941NA. Two more Guppy flights are scheduled later this summer to bring in the remaining large sections of the FFT.
