ON FEBRUARY 20, 2002 Polish built MiG-17 Fresco (SBLim-5) G-BWUF was moved from Duxford, where it had been based with the Old Flying Machine Company, to the Bournemouth Aviation Museum at Hurn Airport. The machine's new owner, David Miles, hopes to put the fighter back in the air in the next few months, and has secured the services of a Polish engineer to speed up restoration work. The MiG currently wears the markings of the North Vietnamese Air Force.

MESSERSCHMITT Bf 109G-2/Trop Werknr 10639 "Black 6" left Duxford on the morning of March 10, 2002 for the journey to its final home at the RAF Museum at Hendon. The fighter has been put back into pristine condition by Russ Snadden and his team of restorers at Duxford, following the accident which saw the machine flip over on to its back at Duxford on October 11, 1997.
