It will depict the development of US Air Force jet fighters, and the initial development phase will concentrate on a display of “Century Series" fighters. By September 2001 a North American F-100 (shown), Lockheed F-104 and Republic F-105 were on display, and a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom, originally designated F-110, was also being prepared.

The outstanding exhibit was a replica of the only fighter produced in Romania during World War Two, the IAR 80. This lightweight fighter, which resembles the Hughes H-1 racer, entered service in January 1941, and defended the Ploesti oilfields against USAAF B-24 raids in 1943.
